Japanese Language and Cultural Education
Japanese language and culture education-Kyoto Program-
▶ International Education Programs conducted in collaboration with overseas highschools and universities (approximately 2-4 weeks, eligible for academic credits)
▶ Launched in California (U.S.A.), programs are now offered to high schools in Thailand, with plans to expand to Vietnam in the near future
▶ With programs based in Kyoto, participants will discover more about Japan’s rich history, culture, technology and education system through hands-on cultural experiences and visits to companies and local schools

Kyoto Program
I’m truly glad that I was able to participate in the Kyoto Program. Not only were all of my expectations met, but I had experiences that went far beyond what I had hoped for.
What made this program especially outstanding was the perfect matching between students and host families. The other students also spoke very highly of their host families, and I immediately felt comfortable with mine as soon as I arrived. It was truly a wonderful match.
In addition, all of the host families were amazing, and every day of the program was exciting. The activities, such as the tea ceremony experience, Tsukiji Market, the waste treatment facility in Osaka, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, and listening to a survivor of the atomic bombing, were all incredible experiences.
Furthermore, the support from everyone at Canvas Gate throughout the program was exceptional. While remaining professional, they were also very friendly, which made me feel at ease even though I was far from home. Everything was thoughtfully organized, and I truly felt that my money was well spent. I also greatly appreciated how they listened to each individual and did their best to be considerate of everyone’s needs.
I would especially recommend this program to students who are traveling abroad for the first time, as Canvas Gate takes care of all the arrangements and carefully supports you through every procedure and step of the itinerary.

Kyoto Program
The Canvas Gate staff went above and beyond what I expected. They helped us navigate Japan even before the starting date of the program and were always available for questions. In Japan they were extremely adaptable to the challenges of the trip and made things comfortable for us. When I got Covid they took care of me and during difficult days they always prioritized students health.

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about Japanese culture and enjoy new experiences in a fun and interactive way.
The activities were very well organized, and the support from the staff was thorough, making the entire program an extremely enjoyable experience.
